ABOUT MEHello! My name is Alec and I’m originally from Long Island, NY. I obtained my B.S. in Marine Biology from Roger Williams University in May 2020. I proceeded to take a gap-year to gain experience throughout the field of marine biology working alongside various marine conservation organizations. In June 2023, I acquired my Master of Science (Professional) in Environmental Science from Nova Southeastern University.
Generally, my interests within the field of marine science involve coral reef and larval ecology, reef restoration through land/field-based nurseries, and coral outplanting/reef monitoring utilizing scientific diving. This also includes management of field sites through applied laboratory and field-based methods, and teaching individual's recreational scuba diving as a PADI Specialty Instructor. In my free time I am an avid runner, enjoy cooking, photography, hiking and of course, scuba diving on local reefs. If you'd like additional information on my background, please view my C.V. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions/inquiries! |
